Napa Valley is located in the San Francisco Bay area. This region is known as wine country. Many wine connoisseurs know that each year many bottles of wine come out of this region. There are vacations designed for people who like wine to visit this region and visit the many wineries that the region has to offer. Napa County was one of the first counties created in this city. The county was created in 1850 when California got its statehood. Napa Valley neighbors Sonoma and is known for its large agricultural areas. These areas are preserved so that wineries can continue to produce wine and keep the state at one of the largest producing wine areas in the country.
